It’s Been a Quiet Day on Port Huron’s St Clair River

This is why Port Huron is the center of the Blue water Area

Thanks to the Powerboat Races at Riverfest 2011 in St Clair, Port Huron has enjoyed a quiet weekend on the St Clair River.  Minimal freighter traffic has made for a beautiful day to be out on the river fishing, cruising, or just viewing the peacefulness of the blue water and sunshine.  And the folks have been taking advantage of it.  Tomorrow will be back to business for the freighters, until next week when the Port Huron/Sarnia International Powerboat Race will be churning up the waters and echoing the sounds of raw horsepower off the seawalls along the St Clair River at Desmond Landing and Vantage Point.
